NARC will boast a new outdoor 50 metre pool, an indoor 25m lane pool, water play and warm water pool, outdoor splash pad, and a learn to swim pool. Fitness and wellness facilities will include multi-purpose spaces for group fitness and yoga, a gym and consulting rooms for allied health professionals.

Works consisted of Structural steel installation, pre-cast panel lifts, steel reo mesh, Glulam timber rafters, cassette erection, and general lifting for Kane Constructions.

Kingspan Insulated roof panel lifts for Signal & Hobbs.

Formwork-propping frames and timber bearers for Toorak Formwork.

Sventek Cranes’ planning and operations team provided consistent communication regarding time frames and site conditions to ensure safety was a priority at all times.

Our highly experienced team of Riggers and Crane Operators are our most valuable asset on any project.

Completion of the finished project mid to late 2023.

Whitehorse Performing Arts Centre Redevelopment: Steel Erection

The Whitehorse Performing Arts Centre will function as both a premiere performance and events facility, and as a base for a diverse range of local community and business groups, artists, performers and patrons alike.

The aim of this project was to replace the existing Performing Arts Centre with a more contemporary facility celebrating local designers and locally sourced products.

Sventek Cranes & Rigging has installed steel trusses, beams and columns for the roof and façade, key elements of this project.

Strong collaboration between Sventek Cranes, the builder Kane Constructions, and our Client Apex Welding and Steel Fabrication, has been critical in enabling the rollout of this successful project.

Completion Date late 2023.

Mt Buller Chalets: Steel Erection

55T Crane for steel erection

5 Luxury Chalets erected in 4 weeks! This project was one of our most challenging and rewarding, and was by no means an easy task for our crew of highly skilled Riggers and Boilermakers.

Initial inspection of the site provided insight into the difficult conditions we faced when working on rough terrain in mountainous conditions. Challenges included access on the slope, limited time frame due to changing weather conditions, distant travel and living away from home.

With precise surveying and set out by builders Hamilton Marino, the project was managed with an excellent work sequence amongst all suppliers including site deliveries for a smooth turnaround.

The Sventek Cranes team put in long hours on site preparation; drilling and chemsetting 140, M20 bolts per Chalet. Difficult access for our 55 tonne crane on uneven ground was overcome by building the level with bog mats and timbers, again safety being our highest priority.

Each Chalet was erected in stages beginning with ground floor, 1st floor and then finally the roof. Meticulous planning by our operations team in conjunction with Apex Welding and Hamilton Marino Builders made this project a huge success.

Project completed from February to March 2022.
